I See Ewe - A Preschooler Word Game App Reviews

I bought this app based on the App Store genius and based on the reviews in the description. When I fired it up with my toddler, I was shocked at the quality of the audio. Firstly, the voices sound like they were recorded in a bucket. Secondly, the words of encouragement like "good job" are spoken with a complete lack of enthusiasm. It comes off sounding patronizing and insincere. From what I can tell, the logic behind the app is good, but audio is a big part of it and the execution just fails. My recommendation to the app author would be to find a studio in your home town and pay some local voice actors to do this professionally. Its not expensive, but it adds huge value to the finished product. Id rather pay more for an app that showed attention to detail than for an app that feels like a lot of corners were cut. I only paid 99 cents for this, so perhaps the review is a bit harsh, but I really do believe it would improve the app a great deal. In its current state, I cant recommend it, but its certainly not beyond redemption.

We bought this app after downloading the free toddler version. Even though my daughter is only a year old, she plays the first game by using a process of elimination until she hits the correct card. She is always so very pleased with the vocal encouragement that the game gives her. Im sure that well be playing with this app for a long time to come!

This is a fun app that my 18 mo old grandaughter likes to play. Worth the download

My kids cant get enough of it! I love the option to take out certain shapes or animals. For less than the cost of a 4 piece McNugget, its a steal!

This is awesome. My son loves it. There are three possible improvements. 1. Landscape mode 2. Numbers 3. After so many times of identifying a picture put in the awesome sticker. It breaks things up a bit.

Great app!! My 2 yr old son loves it! Kept him entertained for a while!

This game is great for my 2yr old....He actually had to learn and not just tap buttons.....he was a little frustated at first but he got the hang of it later

My 3 year old son was bored and misbehaving at a restaurant. I handed him the game and he was good untill his food came! And learning at the same time, what else could you ask for?

My 1.5 year old grandson really likes this game and I do believe it is helping him to learn the names of the animals, colors, etc. I do have some suggestions for improvement, however. First, the voices that either state the success or failure of the choices are invariably female for success and male for failure. I dont think that is a good idea. Those voices should be randomized or, at least, more varied. Also. I would like to see more animal choices, presented with more variety- there is a great deal of repeat of the animals to choose from. This is fine for the really young ones but will get stale for them as they age- and is a little wearing on the supervising adult as well. Overall, this is a good game, with good educational opportunity for a young preschooler and well worth the price.

This app is great. My 2 yr old daughter loves it. She learned her shapes from using it. The option for Spanish and mandarin is great. Would be worth it at twice the price.

We love this app, my 3 year old asks for it all the time. Compared to other items in this category, it is outstanding! Kudos for a great job. Looking forward to more software from you, and enhancements to this product. Maybe colors with shapes, rather than each seperate. As in "find the yellow square" with many colors and shapes presented. Thats all, thanks again.

This is a very cool app for my little girl that just turned 4. The only thing I would change is in the matching game, no matter if you have tried a tile before or not, you get the "WRONG" type of male voice with a buzz (I know I can turn the buzz off). It shouldnt be so harsh if you havent tried the tile before. Also, try and make the "WRONG" voice a little more friendly. Im afraid my little Sophia will be scared when she hears it. She isnt used to such negative feedback! Those are the only two minor things I could see that could be improved. LOVE the difficulty levels. I do like the other suggestions about adding numbers. lower/upper case letters would be good too, and more objects :)

This is well worth any money. I love that you can individualize... I teach and will use this with my students. I like the option of turning off the voice (sorry great voice, but not needed at times). The reward is still there with the sound effects as well as some reading practice... Allowing for increased options is a great way to increase difficultly. All around great app.

What a wonderul game. My two year old loves this game, even the colors and shapes, which he didnt know before playing this one. Thank you. I highly recommend to anybody with kids, especially toddlers.

On the matching game, why not show all the cards before hiding them, so that the child has a chance to use their memory instead of making it purely a crap shoot the first time through? I also really disliked the voices and comments.

My (just turned) four year old had fun, but quickly tired of this app. Mostly age appropriate for 2-3 year olds. Also, the choices (to pick an animal for example) become repetitive pretty quickly -- not quite enough variety. Otherwise it is great to see educational apps like this.

my 20 month old loves this application....is there any way you could add other types of animals, like maybe zoo/wild animals (zebra, tiger, hippo, polar bear, snakes etc...) so new categories- one could be pets, another farm animals, another zoo animals etc..?

Omg! My 2 yr old that was a premie knows his animals after 5 mins of play!!. We were just amazed of how fast he is learning with this. Now everytime he sees my phone he says," Mooooo!! Cow!!". It is just the best thing and a great app! My son is now saying the animal names along with the sound they make. I would like to see more animals though. I can see what u were aiming for with the repeatedness. It teaches them by memory and repeating. But maybe can add a function to be able to introduce a few animals once they have mastered the basics. This would be great! I highly recommend this to anyone with a toddler. U will be in shock and in ahhhh once u see how fast they learn. Def a  app. I hope u have an update soon on the adding of more animals and maybe writing with the example of a letter and let them copy 
